Product Marketing Manager

MSSL delivers services in every district of Sierra Leone through its Outreach, Public Sector Strengthening (PSS), Centres, Contact Centre and Social Marketing Channels.   

The Role:`

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of our Social Marketing product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, customer needs, demographic shifts, and key product metrics to drive product expansion and increase market share. This role requires a proactive mindset with a strong background in product management, market analysis, and a passion for improving sexual and reproductive health outcomes. 



Key Responsibilities                                                                                                      

Market Analysis and Research: 

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. 
  • Analyze customer needs and preferences through surveys, focus groups, and direct feedback. 
  • Monitor demographic changes and their implications on product demand and usage. 

Performance Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Define, track, and report on key product metrics such as market share, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and ROI. 
  • Utilize data analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations for product improvements and market strategies. 
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. 

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Engage with customers, healthcare professionals, and advocacy groups to gather feedback and build strong relationships. 
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the company, ensuring that their needs and preferences are prioritized.. 

Regulatory and Compliance: 

  • Ensure all products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. 
  • Collaborate with the regulatory affairs team to manage product registrations and approvals. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to product market introduction. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with brand and marketing, social marketing teams to ensure successful product promotions. 
  • Ensure alignment of product management with business strategies and regulatory requirements

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Public Health or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in product marketing, commercial brand management, or FMCG/pharma sales ideally in healthcare or FMCG.
  • Proven success in market development, product promotion, or distribution-led commercial growth.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data dashboards, Excel, and performance reporting tools.
  • Experience in SRH commodities, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or social enterprise marketing.
  • Understanding of supply chain and retail pricing dynamics.
